Sometimes we stumble upon places that are fun and unique, the Black Cat Cafe is one of them. Once a cigar bar, it is now a small eatery. A N.H. restaurant listing describes the Cafe as, "A touch of Europe in Laconia's Downtown Train Station. Open early - open late for coffee, espresso, pasties, sandwiches, quiche, & salads. Full bar service. Entertainment Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights." There are only 5 tables inside and a bar that seats 7. Outside there are 4 more tables. The interior is filled with what else but black cat decor. We counted at least 20 black cats on the mobile, bookshelves, in paintings on the wall, etc. It doesn't take long to get served here so there isn't too much time to get preoccupied counting cats! The staff is friendly and the service is excellent.
