We certainly weren't the only ones who
knew about this restaurant. The place was packed at lunch time on a
Wednesday. Perhaps it is because they have daily specials that are
greatly reduced in price if they are served at the bar. There is
plenty of attractive bar seating so this makes the offer even more
attractive. This English style pub serves salads (a choice of 9),
burgers, pizza, sandwiches and other heavier meals. Their real claim
to fame is their beer selection, however. They have draught from the
U.K. (14 varieties) and "Other Worldly Brews" (13 varieties). Then
there are over 100 bottled beers with names like Ebulum Elderberry
Black Ale, Bluebird Bitter, Black Friar Scottish Ale, and many, many
more. We chose twelve ounces of Ithaca Apricot Wheat, a mild beer. We
enjoyed its touch of apricot. The beer cost us $2.50 for the Half
Pint (12 ounces) and it was also sold as a Domestic Pint (16 ounces
for $3.25) or the Imperial Pint (20 ounces for $4.00). Bottled beer
came in sizes that included 11.2 ounce, 12 ounce, 16.9 ounce, 750 ml
and some other odd sizes. This pub even offers gluten free beer and a
large selection of wines. The atmosphere is pub like with the
lighting being subdued. On each table was a tray of condiments that
included HP Sauce, Salt and Pepper mills, Jalepeno Tabasco, Malt
Vinegar, Chipotle Tabasco, Ketchup, and Grey Poupon Mustard. Overhead
on the wooden beams are sayings. We liked the one that said, "Start
each day off with a smile and get it over with."

Served in an attractive bowl with the British colors on the
dish. Very attractive presentation. Bacon was crispy and the
chicken was tender and plentiful. Salad dressing was
presented in a small gravy boat. DESSERT: OTHER: Plenty of parking Dress is casual Service is excellent - wait
staff was knowledgeable about the beer selection and able to
answer questions about the selections OVERALL: A- No doubt that we will
return!
