The Bugaboos in Canada are the theme for this restaurant. There are ski pictures on the wall as well as mountaineering equipment and skis. The rooms are rustic and resemble a ski lodge. On the upper walls there are stuffed animal heads (buffalo, deer, etc.), some of which move and talk! Also on a wall is a fish on a plaque that flaps periodically. At Christmas the lobby is adorned with an artificial tree that lights up, talks and sways. Many of the items on the menu are meat and are done simply. This is a good place to take children (or adults) who like plain meals without a lot of fancy sauces. We found the menu to be a bit boring.

ENTREE: |
Lemon Chicken Salad ($6.99) - Salad was supposed to have pecans but there were only two in this portion. Dressing was average and the overall presentation was average. |
|
Bunyan Onion ($4.99) - This was a well done presentation of the standard fried onion. It was delicately cut and came with a very sharp dipping sauce. We thought the onion was a little too spicy and the dipping sauce had a little too much horseradish for the average palate. People who like strong spices would probably think it was excellent. |

If there is a wait for a table, a vibrating pager is given to the customer to signal when their table is ready. There was no wait at lunch but we have been there for dinner and there was about a 20 minute wait. |
