WENDY AND TOM DINE OUT

The owners of the Candle Cafe are dedicated to the diner's health through their "commitment to excellent vegetarian cuisine." All ingredients used are organic. The owners "acknowledge the interconnectedness of environment spiritual and physical well-being." The restaurant is stark with only a few decorations and a few muted colored fabric strips on the walls. About 50 diners can be seated. Floors are wooden and tables have black Formica tops, wooden legs and black and wood chairs.

Below is part of the menu. There are other entrees, such as, Stir-Fry, Vegan Lasagna, Macrobiotic Life Platter, Char Grilled Seitan Steak, and others. There are also many side dishes.

This is definitely not our kind of restaurant! Wendy does not eat soy and many of the dishes were soy based. It was an experience, but one that we will not repeat.
