WENDY AND TOM DINE OUT

This restaurant "where hometown breakfast favorites are served all day," has little atmosphere. It is a place to get some average food in the heart of Falmouth. There is counter seating as well as about 10 tables along one wall. The eatery serves lunch from 11:30 - 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It offers sandwiches, salad plates, a few hot plates, and some meat dishes. Many blackboard specials are offered. Items are also available for takeout. The decor is mostly red/orange in color with paddles fans and lights. The day we were there the wait staff was disinterested and not particularly attentive. For instance, an offer to refresh our coffee would have been desirable, especially since we were seated at the counter and the coffee pot was right there. The restaurant was crowded and we believe this is because of its location, not because of the value or the quality of the food.

OVERALL:

We would not return here. Breakfast food is not all that hard to fix and most places do it at least as well. We do not like to downgrade a restaurant based on its wait staff, but our waitress certainly did not add to the experience.
