Dockside appears to be a sports bar/restaurant with a pub like feel to it. There is a oval shaped bar where patrons can eat or drink in one area. Covers from Time magazines are framed on the walls there. The front section of the establishment has booths with high backs. A section in the back of Dockside has tables and chairs and the walls are covered with bright murals of sports figures. Pool tables and arcade games are also available in this area along with an area for children to play. Television cameras with either regular programming or Keno numbers can be seen from almost every seat. The paper place mat says that there are 33 televisions and that the restaurant shows all pay-per-view boxing and WWE wrestling events. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. Luncheon specials are available and from Monday to Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Dockside serves a burger, fries and a beer for $5.95. What a deal! Pizza and a pitcher of beer served between the same hours costs $11.95, another deal! Want an average, hearty, American meal for a reasonable price? This restaurant may be for you.

RESTAURANT: DOCKSIDE 229 Centre Street (Route 60),
Malden, MA DATE: February, 2003 MEAL: Lunch BREAD: SALAD: APPETIZER: ENTREE: Scallop Dinner Special ($9.95)
Good - 15 large scallops coated with something that tasted
like KFC crunchy coating. Not a bad batter, but a little too
crunchy for delicate scallops. The Cole slaw was the kind
that is found in many places and we purchase at the
supermarket. We like it. It isn't too sweet and is nice and
creamy. The French Fries were cooked to an appropriate
shade, but were soggy. Meal was served with a little plastic
cup of tarter sauce. This was a lot of food for the
price. 20 oz. Prime Rib Special
($13.95) Pretty good - A large hunk with not much age but
plenty of fat. Cooked a little more than requested. Came
with a baked potato that wasn't crispy enough for our taste
and canned peas. DESSERT: OTHER: Parking in a large
lot Dress is casual Child friendly Patrons seemed to be of all
ages. Older people tended to be seated up front and groups
of young men seated in the back part. Free delivery in

Although the food wasn't great here, we would return and
choose something else. There is something fun and upbeat
about the restaurant. If in the area with a large appetite,
it might be a good place to stop.
