Marina Bay is one of our favorite destinations! The restaurants here afford us a great view of the boats in the marina. We chose to eat outdoors this time since the weather was so pleasant. The decor is "modern porch" with its white plastic tables and dark blue plastic chairs. In spite of the plastic, it works well. The patio is attractive and carries out the blue and white nautical theme. Heaters are overhead to create some warmth on colder days. One drawback of this entire area is that it is below the flight path to Logan. Planes fly over low enough to be easily heard if dining outdoors. The restaurant has a fun web page that tells it all:

RESTAURANT: CAPTAIN FISHBONES 332 Victory Road, N. Quincy
(Marina Bay) DATE: May 2004 MEAL: Dinner DECOR: BREAD: SALAD: APPETIZER: Asparagus ($2.99) Perfectly
cooked with tasteless oil (butter?) on the
side ENTREE: Chopped Salad ($9.99) Bland but
good - Blue cheese, tomatoes, black olives, asparagus,
cucumber, red onion and celery. There were supposed to be
bacon bits served on the side but they were not delivered
and Wendy forgot to ask for them. They might have added a
bit to the salad. This interesting presentation comes on an
oval plate with each of the items chopped separately and
placed in a mound around the plate. The blue cheese dressing
selected did not have much flavor. The blue cheese in the
salad, however, was very flavorful. We don't know how they
could have made this more interesting considering all the
ingredients are bland. Fisherman's Platter ($14.99)
"Shrimp, scallops and sole lightly breaded and fried to a
golden brown. Served with tartar sauce and a wedge of
lemon." Nicely done. Because this dish does not come with
the usual load of French fries, it looked like a small
portion. Actually it did have less seafood than many other
restaurants we have eaten at. The seafood was cooked in a
light batter and the fish was of a nice quality. Excellent
Cole slaw. DESSERT: OTHER: Parking in the Marina Bay

good but not memorable food
