Our visit to Hosea's was part of a virtual geocache (geocaching.com). Our GPS led us to this location and we were pleasantly surprised to see what the restaurant had to offer. It is a wonderful tribute to Ted Williams and has an excellent collection of Williams memorabilia. There are baseball bats, trophies, pennants, and lots of pictures on the walls of this two room eating establishment. It is like a mini museum. The vast array of Williams items is the draw here, certainly not the food. It is well worth a trip to see the walls, but don't expect a gourmet meal. The restaurant is homey and the food is adequate. The luncheon meals are an excellent value for the money. Where else could you get a Fried Scallop Plate for $4.95? Dinner prices are more in keeping with market value. The dinner menu is somewhat limited but does have Italian, beef, chicken and seafood offerings. The restaurant also has a separate bar/function room that is removed from the dining area.

typical salad with the usual ingredients. Not bad, but
nothing to recommend it either. Fried Scallop Plate ($4.95)
Okay. Hard to believe the price and there were plenty of
scallops for a luncheon size. They were not crisp enough for
Tom's taste. The French fries were very good and the Cole
slaw was fine. DESSERT: OTHER: Plenty of parking Dress is very
casual OVERALL: B-
Go here once and view the Williams memorabilia. The food is
good enough to make it a worthwhile trip.
