Kelly's literature boasts, "On July, 3, 1951, Raymond E. Carey, Jr., Restaurant Manager, and Frank V. McCarthy, Chef, combined talents to create a food establishment that would offer customers a whole lot more. Their philosophy for this enterprising venture was to work hard, provide the finest quality food, cook to order, give generous portions and all at a fair price.
On a hot (95º) summer's day, two large roast beefs were cooked on rotisseries, sliced, and piled high on a sandwich roll. Before that time, no one had ever heard of serving such a sandwich. This innovative team was responsible for the introduction of "The Original Roast Beef Sandwich".
The dedicated duo continued to pursue this success with diligence and perseverance. Soon, the lines of customers confirmed Kelly's reputation for true value. Together, these two men formed a dynasty in the world of roast beef and seafood.
Today, Kelly's is still a family owned and operated business that continues the original philosophy of the founders. We're working 363 days a year to provide our valued customers with consistent standards they have come to expect over the years. We're dedicated to their satisfaction and thank them for their patronage."
That may all be true, but the food at this restaurant is marginal at best. The decor is attractive cafeteria and includes colorful carousel horses and a lovely circular aquarium in the center of the eatery. It is a clean and tidy place to dine, but it attractive looks cannot outweigh the fact that the prices are not that inexpensive and the value for the money is poor. We do, however, like its address!

BEEF 2 Underprice Way, Natick, MA
(next to Jordan's Furniture) DATE: May 2003 MEAL: Dinner BREAD: SALAD: APPETIZER: Clam Chowder ($3.50/cup) Poor -
thin and full of potatoes ENTREE: Fish and Chips ($8.50) Terrible!
- Thick pieces of dark, oily fish that was fried with a
heavy batter, almost inedible, French Fries were thin cut
and very good and onion rings were very good, in fact, they
were the best item ordered. Fried Clam Platter ($14.95)
Adequate but not as good as many other places for the same
price, batter was heavy Cheese Fries ($4.95 ) a
combination of French Fries, bacon bits, and cheese - poor -
soggy and limp, needed to be reheated Roast Beef Sandwich ($5.95 for 9
oz.) Marginal! If it had looked like the picture, it would
have been good. There was plenty of meat but it had little
taste and was not rare enough. The roll was somewhat
dry. DESSERT: OTHER: Parking in a large
lot Dress is casual Child friendly All the counter help was
disinterested and expended minimal effort to present the
meals OVERALL: C- This is one of the worst places
we have eaten in. It is attractive, clean, and a bit stark
in decor, but the food quality does not justify returning
here again.
