WENDY AND TOM DINE OUT

While attending a conference in New Hampshirte, we stumbled upon The Lobster Boat. It turned out to be an informal place with a family atmosphere. The theme is nautical with lighthouses painted on the panels of the faux Tiffany hanging lamps. The restaurant is divided into four separate dining areas that have wait staff bustling between them. The tabletops are constructed of red Formica and the high back bench seats are also made of Formica. Better not eat too much at The Lobster Boat because the seats are very close to the tables and adding an inch to one's girth might make it impossible to slide out from under the table! The noise level in the restaurant is high so it is not a place for an intimate dining experience.

ENTREE:

"Medley"($15.95) Very Good - Consisted of Baked Shrimp, Scallops, and 2 Lobster Tails. The lobster was a little overcooked and the bread crumbs were dry and tasteless. The meal was served on a hot metal plate atop a wooden platter. It was served hot and was a pleasant meal, although not a great one. The Cole Slaw arrived in tiny plastic containers and the Onion Rings (an additional $1.00 to substitute them for French Fries) came in a plastic bowl. Beverages were served in 20 ounce plastic glasses. This dish could have been improved by the addition of a small container of melted butter.

Baked Shrimp ($10.95) A generous portion of somewhat bland shrimp with the same type of dry bread crumbs on top. French Fries were "average" in taste.

White Tender Scrod ($7.95 for the small portion, which was not small at all , plus an extra $1.00 for the substitution of Onion Rings)
