Thomas is a big fan of Mexican food so we try to include it in our diet once a month. This month we went to Fajitas and Ritas and also, El Sarape. Perhaps comparing the two is unfair to El Sarape. Fajitas and Ritas is such a wonderful, funky place, and El Sarape is just a Mexican restaurant. The decor is similar at both, typical Mexican colors accented with Mexican items, but the similarity ends there. El Sarape does not have the clean, crisp, multicolored presentation of food items. Our Enchiladas were just put on the plate with the accompanying beans in an oozing circle. A colorful garnish of something would have made the delivery a little more attractive. The Enchiladas were average and the presentation was mildly appetizing. The service, on the other hand, was quite good. The wait staff and bartender were gracious and accommodating. In fact, they were the highlight of the restaurant!
