Shorty's is a bit funky and we like funky! It has a Santa Fe decor with neon signs and a patterned metal ceiling. Antique wood signs adorn the walls and 50's nostalgia signs are placed around the rooms. The atmosphere is casual and people of all ages were dining there. Children seem to be welcome here and are placed with their parents a bit apart from other diners. We enjoyed the relaxed meal and the laid back style of the place.

RESTAURANT: SHORTY'S MEXICAN
ROADHOUSE Nashua Mall (48 Gusabel Avenue),
Nashua, NH DATE: May 2004 MEAL: Lunch DECOR: BREAD: SALAD: APPETIZER: Warm tortilla chips served with
a mild salsa - We liked the freshness and warmth of the
chips ENTREE: Santa Fe Salad ($8.29) Excellent
- Fajita chips, lettuce, cheese, bacon, toasted almonds,
sun-dried tomatoes, blue cheese. and a honey mustard
dressing. A little different mixture than usual. They forgot
the bacon but when it was brought to their attention, a huge
supply was brought to the table immediately. The salad
dressing was particularly good. Jailhouse Chili ($6.29) A
Southwestern chili with beef, jack and cheddar cheese and
onions. Very good but not great. Tom called it
"generic." DESSERT: OTHER: Plenty of parking Dress is casual A somewhat typical Tex-Mex type
place. OVERALL: B+ A pleasing meal, but nothing
that made it really stand out.
