Sweet Tomatoes is a chain that has several restaurants in Florida and other states. Upon entering the eatery you are handed a tray and given your instructions. They read, "Salad Bar, First. Cashier, Second. One Price Meal. Drinks Extra (but unlimited). Help Yourself To A Seat. All You Can Eat." Translated this means that diners get their tray and proceed down the long salad line. Included in the foods in this row are the usual salad fixings like lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, etc., but also, cold pasta, potato salad, pickles, different types of cole slaw, beans, mixed salads like Won Ton Chicken, Classic Caesar, Ranch House Bacon with Turkey, and other goodies. There are 10 types of dressing to choose from. After that, diners pay the $7.49 for the meal and an extra $1.29 for soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased too. After paying, customers choose a seat in the attractive, brightly colored rooms. Then they are free to visit the serving stations as many times as desired. Offerings here include, soups (Chicken Noodle, Classic Chili, Chili with Jalepeno, New England Clam Chowder, Black Bean Chili, Harvest), 3 types of pasta (spaghetti, mushroom penne, noodles), baked potatoes with a variety of toppings, corn bread, pizza, breads, brownies, fruits (canned and fresh), ice cream and 2 topings, and, of course, fountain drinks, coffee, and iced tea. The entire food service area is exceptionally clean and items are replenished constantly.
